Everyone who reads my blog, knows my obsession with Navy. It is such a perfect color that can be used with anything. I have a lot of Navy in my wardrobe as well as in my home. With this bad weather just not ending this season, I was wondering how I was ever going to make the transition from winter to spring.
Taking a look at the room Mary McDonald created, I can easily see how easy it would be to transition this room for different seasons. Adding a pop of red for winter, orange for fall and yellow for summer! By replacing one or two pillows, it can change the feel and look of the room.
I just adore this room. From the grasscloth to the exceptional textiles, it is just warm and bright at the same time. See how by simply changing out a piece of artwork can change the feel of the room? This is a fun painting of what we are to look forward to in the months to come.
Besides pillows and artwork, fresh flowers or faux flower arrangements are another great way to change the look and feel of a room.
Adding decorative accessories like shells or coral or even shellfish immediately sets the tone for warmer weather.
While getting our homes ready, we certainly can’t forget about ourselves! Taking a navy and white striped turtleneck, pairing it with a pair of jeans and cute bright pink ballet flats~adorable! This is screaming, “hurry up spring”!
Again, this is such a simple way to transition into spring.
I am sure every guy owns a navy jacket (if he doesn’t, he should). Paired with camel and touches of pink, this can go from work to play and still be warm and stylish.
Well, let’s all hope that the weather will warm soon. Until then, I hope I have given you a couple of hints on how to take your winter blues to spring pinks!
As always, thanks for reading. Stay well 🙂
